Day 2412. Friday, Day 5 and last day of the soccer camp for Emmy and the tennis camp for Tammy. Randy left with the boys a little late at 8:30 am to take Emmy to his camp, while I left with Tammy right after them to take Tammy to her camp. We actually got on the same subway together. As every other day of the week, Tammy got to her camp early. I left her there and turned around to go back home. I was able to lie down for half an hour before I had to get up to get ready to teach.

I taught from 10 to 11 am, put the food on the stove, then taught from 11:30 to 12:20 pm. Randy left with Sammy at 12:45 pm, and I left just before them after having eaten quickly. I went to the soccer school where I arrived on time at 1 pm. Randy had to be at Sammy's place at 1:30 pm to watch his match. Both schools then ended at 3 pm.

There were 13 kids at Tammy's camp. They had split them into two groups, the older and the younger kids. Tammy was in the younger group, the 4 to 6 year-olds, and there were 6 children. Just a few weeks ago, Tamy and Emmy played a match and were in the group of 6 to 8-year-olds. This time she was one of the oldest. And they didn't play a regular match like last time. They had six rounds to play, each round being different. The teacher wrote down how many points each kid got in each round and tallied them up. The distances they had to conquer depended on their age.

The first round was 10 balls forehand. Somehow I missed that round but I filmed all the others. The second round was 10 balls backhand. The third round was alternating forehand and backhand. The fourth round was volley.  The fifth round was pushing a ball through a goal with the racket. Tammy and another 6-year-old boy she was friends with had scored the same number of points in each round up until that point. They celebrated together after every round that they still had the same amount of points. Then it was round 6, throwing balls into the basket. Tammy went first. She got four ouf five in. The boy went next, and he only scored three. Tammy was over the moon! She had scored 42 points, and the boy 41 points. She was the winner! The boy was disappointed and cried after the award ceremony.

Everyone made their way to the nearby hut where they had already set out the table with two trophies, for the winner of each group, the medals and the certificates. There was also a podest for the first three. Everyone gathered there, and then the founder of the tennis school started talking. He started with the younger kids and called forth the child in 6th place, 5th etc. Tammy was in fact in first place and got to stand on the highest step of the podest. She was the only one to get a trophy, and she was very excited, beaming from ear to ear. Then we took a picture of all the kids in the group. Next it was the turn of the older kids, and in the end we took another group picture with everyone. Then the camp was over. It was time to say good-bye. Tammy said good-bye to the boy she might see again at another camp in the future.

We rode our scooters to the subway and went home, arriving there just after 3 pm. As for Emmy, it took them another 40 minutes or so before they got home.  Emmy and his team was only competing against one other team, and his team won. He was very excited and got a medal and a certificate. His good friend in his team received the trophy for "player of the week" that Emmy had received once before.

Three minutes before 4 pm I found out that the student who I had offered the 4 pm slot actually wanted it, so I quickly sat down to teach.  I taught until 5 pm, then quickly made the kids sandwiches and taught again from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. Then I cut up fruit for the kids to eat. After they had eaten, we went downstairs for piano practice. Back upstairs, it was time for the bathtub. At 8 pm I sat down to teach. Both kids tried to sleep in my bed but that doesn't work. I had to keep putting my mic on silent so I could tell them to stop talking etc. Finally Emmy left to go to his own bed, then it worked.

At 9 pm I was done teaching. I took Tammy to her bed and went to the kitchen to get myself something to eat. After a break, I went back to work.
