HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 2460. It's already Thursday. It's been pretty much a regular, busy week of school, classes and me teaching.
On Monday I taught from 11 to noon, then I cooked. I picked up Sammy and was back home with him by 2 pm. At 2:30 pm I started teaching which is when Randy and the other kids returned home. I had another student at 3:30 pm. Randy left with Tammy and Emmy at 3:45 pm to take them to their programming class. He returned just after I had started teaching my next student at 4:45 pm. At 5:30 Randy left again to pick up the kids, while I finished teaching at 5:35 pm. Then I went to the kitchen to cut up fruit for the kids and gave it to Sammy and put the other plates on the table for Tammy and Emmy so they could eat when coming home at 6:30. At 6:30 pm I also started teaching my next student and finished at 7:20. Then it was a mad rush to get piano and reading practice in, leaving no time for the bathtub. At 8 pm I sat down to teach while the kids went to bed. At 9 pm I went to the kitchen to get something to eat, then I took a break before going back to work.
On Tuesday I had a student from 11 to noon as well, then we ate leftovers. Randy left at 1 pm to pick up Tammy and Emmy and take them to Emmy's soccer class at 2:30 pm. I picked up Sammy at 1:45 pm, then we had just over an hour at home before taking the subway to where we were meeting up with Randy and the kids. I took Tammy's schoolbag and handed Randy her sandwich, then they got on the next bus to her dance school where she first had an hour of dance sport and then an hour of ballet. As for the boys, I took them straight home where I cut up all their fruit, then I sat down to teach from 5 to 7 pm. The boys spent that time on their tablets. Randy and Tammy returned home around 7 pm, and Tammy sat down to eat her fruit as well. After she was done, we went downstairs for piano practice, then we did reading practice. After the bathtub, I prayed for them, then I sat down to teach from 8 to 9 pm. After I was done, I went to the kitchen to get something to eat. I took a break, then went back to work.
On Wednesday I couldn't sleep as long. I taught from 10 to 11 am, then from 11:30 to 12:30 pm. We still had leftovers to warm up and eat. Randy left at 1 pm to pick up Sammy and take him to his horse-riding therapy. I left at 2 pm to pick up Tammy and Emmy at 2:40 pm. After a quick trip to the grocery store, we rode two buses home where we always arrive just before 3:30 pm. As we were approaching our building, there were Randy and Sammy. Sammy was riding his bike and greatly enjoying.
We had 15 minutes at home, then we grabbed our tennis raquets and left the house again. We rode the subway for three stops and rode our scooters to the tennis club where our classes started at 4 pm. Tammy, Emmy and a boy had the tennis school's founder as their teacher on one court, while I was with two other adults on the court next to them for my class. I really enjoy those tennis lessons every Wednesday. The hour goes by really quickly.
We rode the subway home where I went straight to the kitchen to make their sandwiches and cut up their fruit. I got it done and gave it to them before starting to teach at 6 pm. By 7 pm I was done, then we went downstairs for piano practice. Thankfully we had already done reading practice on the subway. After the bathtub, we had time for a story as my 8 pm student had canceled which meant that they went to bed after 8:30 pm, half an hour later than usual. I then got myself something to eat and took a break before going back to work. At 10 pm I had a Zoom call that lasted nearly an hour; it was work-related (Mali) but also encouraging.
Today I taught at 10 am again but didn't have a second morning student. That allowed me to cook a dish I can only cook when there is time. I put it into the oven at 11:30 am which meant it was done by 12:30 pm, just in time. We ate, then Randy left at 1 pm to pick up Tammy and Emmy, while I left half an hour later to pick up Sammy. By 2 pm we were back home, and at 2:20 pm I started teaching. Randy and the other kids returned at 2:30 pm. I taught until 3:10 pm, then I had five minutes before starting my next student at 3:15 pm. I finished at 4:05 pm, then we had to leave right away to make the 4:20 pm train.
Tammy and Emmy did their reading practice on the train, Emmy on the way there and Tammy on the way back. Emmy had been such a well-behaved kid the day before, without any anger fits, and he'd told me he'd be like that again today. On the tram, he wanted me to take a picture of how red he can get his face when holding his breath which is when this funny picture was taken.
We reached the school just in time, and they went into the gym for their 4:45 pm exercise class which was session 4 of 5 of parkour. I stayed in the locker room. I was on my phone at first, then I got too tired and closed my eyes, And suddenly it was 5:45 and the class was over. As it was their coach's last time with them (next week is the last class), they wanted a picture with him so I went inside to take one. Then we left right away to catch the tram and make the 6:01 pm train which we did.
By 6:15 pm we were back home, just in time for their music school's online sing-along. I set it up for them, then went to the kitchen to quickly get some fruit on their plates. I gave them to them, then sat down at the computer to teach at 6:40 pm. Randy and Sammy returned from Sammy's wheelchair class while I was teaching. By 7:30 pm I was done, and it was time to go downstairs for piano practice. However, there was not enough time for Emmy to practice all the pieces he has to learn for his concert end of June. Back upstairs, I quickly prayed for them and sat down at my computer to teach at 8 pm, while they got ready for bed.
By 9 pm I was done teaching and went to the kitchen to cut up my salad to eat, which meant it was 9:45 pm before I got to sit down and eat dinner and take a break. It's been an absolutely crazy, stressful day. Now it's going on 2 am, and I still have to load the dishwasher. Tomorrow I have to get up early again.
