HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 2442. This was nothing like a typical Sunday whatsoever. I don't teach on Sundays unless it's absolutely necessary but today I had three students. And that's why I had to set an alarm for 10:30 am. When I got up, Randy and Sammy were not there; they had gone to the playground where Sammy had lots of fun on the zipline and playing in the sand. As for me, I taught from 11 to 12:15 pm. Thankfully we still had enough leftovers for another meal, so we ate those. At 1 pm I started teaching again and went until 3 pm. I was once again extremely tired all day after another short night.
We then got ready to leave the house and took the 3:35 pm train across the Danube, then got on the subway to church. It was time to pick up our kids after three days and two nights away! They were supposed to arrive at 4 pm but were delayed. As we were approaching the meeting point, Emmy saw us coming and came running to me. It was such a beautiful moment! It nearly makes you forget all his terrible anger fits. As for Tammy, she hadn't arrived yet as the cars had split up because of traffic jams. After some more waiting Tammy also arrived and was happy to see us. We got all their luggage and papers and said our good-byes. Tammy had made a great new friend at the camp that she had stuck together with all weekend, while Emmy had made friends with several boys. One of them was on the subway train with us.
Tammy and Emmy were clearly tired after a long weekend but I had told Emmy on our video call last night that we were gonna go eat icecream after picking them up. Tammy didn't care to go but Emmy insisted we'd do it, tired or not. We still had coupons that were about to expire so we needed to use them. And so we got off right in the city center from where we still had some walking to do. There were tourists everywhere, and we had all their luggage we were carrying. We finally made it to the icecream place and had to line up to get seats but it didn't take long. We ordered our icecream, and soon we got to eat. Because they were so tired, Emmy was having his anger fits again and Tammy also had some moments. After we were done eating, we paid and left to walk to the tram that we rode to the subway that we rode home where we arrived at 6:15 pm. All Tammy was doing on the last ride home was whine about how tired she was. Once home, they started playing but soon they did want real food so I made them their sandwiches. At 7 pm they went into the bathtub to wash off all the dirt from the camp. Tammy then wanted to do piano practice even though she was so tired. After her, Emmy came but he had his anger fits again. And they continued. We sat down to read a story, then I prayed for them. But I was in tears over Emmy's behavior, wondering what the future would hold if he was like that age 6 already. As tired as they were, they fell asleep right away. In all honesty I was just as tired but I turned my computer on to work on pictures and get other work done as well. I went to bed just as late as any other night.
