HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 2467. On Tuesday I did not have any morning students so I slept in after Randy had left with the kids to take them to school. I got up at lunch time and went to the kitchen to get Randy's food ready. Just after 1 pm Randy left to pick up the kids again, while I left before 1:30 pm to pick up Sammy.
Randy took Tammy and Emmy straight to Emma's soccer class that went from 2:30 to 3:30 pm. Sammy and I got home before 2 pm, and I got myself something to eat, then prepared for my afternoon students. At 3:20 pm Sammy and I left the house. We rode the subway for three stops, then waited for Randy and the kids. I gave Randy Tammy's sandwich and took her schoolbag. Then Randy and Tammy got on a bus to go to her dance school where she had dance sport for an hour first, then ballet for the second hour.
The boys and I were home by 4 pm. I quickly made their sandwiches, then sat down to teach at 4:10 pm. And I had two more students after that, teaching until 7 pm. In between students, I quickly got some fruit on their plates so they could eat. Randy and Tammy got home just when I had finished teaching. Tammy sat down to eat her fruit, while I went downstairs with Emmy to do piano practice. His concert is in a month, so he has to practice longer, ideally for half an hour but he gets frustrated long before that and gives me a hard time. After he was done, it was Tammy's turn. There was no more time for the bathtub after that. I prayed for them and sat down to teach from 8 to 9 pm while they got ready for bed. After I was done, I went to the kitchen to get some food. I ate and took a break, then went back to work.
On Wednesday I had a 11 am student so I got up at 10:30 am to get ready. I taught until noon, then went to the kitchen to cook lunch for Randy and myself. Randy left at 1 pm to pick up Sammy and take him to his weekly horse-riding therapy. I left just after 2 pm to pick up Tammy and Emmy at 2:40 pm. Together we made a quick trip to the grocery store by the bus stop, then took two buses to get home by 3:25 pm.
We only had about 15 minutes before leaving the house again. We grabbed our tennis raquets and rode the subway for three stops, then walked to the tennis club. It was an extremely hot day, like a day in July/August, with over 30 degrees. I felt for the kids who played in the sun. At least I was in the shade but I was the only adult present. The two other people in my group were not there and so I had the coach all to myself. I enjoyed my personal training session and got to play much more than usual. It was also more work to gather up all the balls after. The coach did some small talk with me.
At 5 pm we were done and left to walk back to the subway and ride it home. We were all really hot from playing in this heat. Tammy said she wasn't feeling so well. Once home, we all took a cold shower right away. Then I made their sandwiches and quickly cut up their fruit and gave it to them. Then I taught from 6 until 7:15 pm. Once done, I went downstairs to do piano practice with the kids. Back upstairs, I prayed for them and sat down to teach at 8 pm while they got ready to bed. By 9 pm I was done and went to the kitchen to get myself something to eat. After having eaten and taken a break, I went back to work.
Today I also had a student at 11 am. I got up at 10:30 am, quickly threw all the ingredients to my soup into a pot, then sat down to get ready and teach until noon. Once I was done, the soup was ready, and we were able to eat. Randy left after 1 pm to pick up Tammy and Emmy, while I left just before 1:30 to pick up Sammy. Back home, I sat down to get ready for my 2:20 pm student. At 2:30 pm Randy returned with Tammy and Emmy.
I taught until 3:10 pm, then had my next student at 3:15 pm. I finished at 4:10 pm and saw Randy and Sammy leave for his wheelchair class. Tammy and Emmy were on their tablets. I quickly made their sandwiches, then sat down to get ready for my 4:30 pm student. I taught until 5:20 pm, then went to the kitchen to cut up their fruit and gave it them. Then I continued cutting, making myself a salad for later. After I was done, Emmy and I went downstairs for piano practice. He practiced for half an hour, then it was Tammy's turn. While we were practising, Randy returned with Sammy.
Back upstairs it was bathtub time, followed by story time as my 8 pm student had canceled. Emmy was behaving very badly; it was not pretty. I prayed for them, then they went to bed. I then got my salad and sat down to eat. I enjoyed having an evening without a student. After having had a break, I went back to work.
